It's a rare book that outfoxes me but That Night kept me guessing and kept me fooled. The second, "Joseph's Song" was written by Michael Card. Their sister Frannie has killed a man, and she needs their help What would you do to protect your family? Sheryl refuses to listen to her mother. It was really well done, and flowed well for me.

Gillian McAllister is one of my favourite authors but this one resonates the most for me probably because I am very close Joe, Cathy and Franny Plant all work at the family vet practice, they are very close siblings, so close they live in a row of cottages alongside each other. Cathy, the cool, calm, detached sister. In the early hours of the morning, whilst on holiday with her brother and sister, Cathy receives an urgent call from her sister. That night when in the manger lay The Sanctified who came to save, A man moved in the sleep of death - And dreamed there was no grave. It is a slow starter but things start to pick up in the second part of the book. The premise of siblings covering up for each other after what seems like a horrendous accident was interesting but unbelievable from the first. That Night I loved this film and it will make you laugh and cry. Siblings who are close.

The fallout from that one night, that one decision, is what this book is about. Joe, Cathy and Franny Plant all work at the family vet practice, they are very close siblings, so close they live in a row of cottages alongside each other. Frannie is terrified, begging Cathy and Joe for her help to cover the murder up. This is a book with much to think about and reflect on and another bestseller for this talented writer I am sure. Paranoia made them lash out. Their sister Frannie has killed a man, and she needs their help.

I feel tired at night. I was drawn to the family dynamics immediately. I will definitely read more by this author however! Her books are full of facts as well as feelings. Sheryl tells Alice that she can't leave her family. We instantly get an idea of how close the three siblings are as Joe and Cathy agree to help her. The siblings have always been very close, live in adjoining houses and manage the family vet practice as a threesome. One hot summers night in Italy, Joe and Cathy Plant receive a phone call that will change their lives forever.

I can tell you that much. Their close relationship, at times, was annoying. Clever, pacy and so gripping that my heart raced. To view it, This book is so well written and clever that I want to give it more stars, however it's a 3. All is not well, however.

This is a compelling, suspenseful and wickedly twisty thriller with some genuinely explosive and totally unexpected surprises throughout. The neighborhood fathers then rush to help Ann, and a brawl ensues between Rick's gang and the neighbors. All 3 main characters were one dimensional, really unlikeable and quite uninteresting. It's a rare book that outfoxes me but That Night kept me guessing and kept me fooled. But as the saying goes: the truth, and in this case, the corpse, never stays buried for long. I could have read it quicker had I not been working! But sadly all the family members irritated me which in turn made me not really care about their continuing woes of their own making.

I received an ARC of this novel from the publisher through Netgalley. I could have read it quicker had I not been working! Joe, the hot headed, over protective brother. She's a hit man with her car, and head dead. . That night when shepherds heard the song Of hosts angelic choiring near, A deaf man stirred in slumber's spell - And dreamed that he could hear! That night when o'er the newborn Babe The tender Mary rose to lean, A loathsome leper smiled in sleep - And dreamed that he was clean.

Absolutely fantastic story, it had me gripped the whole way through, savouring every single page, every breath taking twist. Together they bury the body and try to cover up the murder. I loved this aspect of the story. Once again Gillian McAllister offers up a right old page turner of a novel, utterly gripping from first page to last. The siblings received a frantic phone call informing them what had happened but neither Joe nor Cathy could bear to see their sister be torturously put through the legal system and end up incarcerated so they resolve to keep it hush-hush and pretend that nothing ever happened.
