A Walk to Remember is a novel by Nicholas Sparks that tells the story of Landon Carter, a high school senior who is known for being a rebel and causing trouble. Jamie is the complete opposite of Landon, and he is initially resistant to getting to know her.

I fell in love, and the feeling was more wonderful than I had ever imagined. In the play, the father, Tom Thornton, searches desperately to buy a particular music box for his daughter, whom he has kept at arm's length because of his grief. Landon, being in love with her realizes he only has one choice, but to ask for her hand in marrige.
He shrugs off what he's feeling under the logic that if he liked Jamie, he would have already asked her out again. Instead, London's father helps Jamie provide the best equipment and doctors so he can spend the rest of his life at home. I can say however, that A Walk to Remember was my favorite novel to write. It is one of my favorites. The chemistry between Jamie Sullivan and London Carter is so hot that sometimes I think I could feel it through the television.
Each day after school his mother would always be waiting for him at home with a bowl of warm milk. Everything little detail was believable. He chose to become what was unexpected of him and set new standards for his life. Finally, Landon's discussion of the play gives him a chance to describe Jamie Sullivan, who Landon has known his entire life. Although Landon clearly has the opportunity to turn down Jamie's request, he understands that to do so would be to revert to his former self, a side of him that he now finds embarrassing. In the back of his head, he still believes that Jamie did not get the miracle that she deserved. Jamie's request, that Landon play Tom Thorton in the Christmas play, throws the two sides of Landon into relief.

He has no date for the dance because he just broke up with his girlfriend, and is forced to ask Jamie Sullivan, a somewhat nerdy girl who is very religious and is not known to have any prior experience with guys. But to sum it all up, it made me realize that someday someone will come along and make you as a final point understand why it never worked out with anyone else. Congressman for over thirty years. When seeing her on the stage, Landon realizes he's fallen head over heels for her. When Reverend Sullivan's daughter, Jamie, is introduced later, her own piousness is perfectly believable, in light of Reverend Sullivan's fire-and-brimstone sermons.
