As a teacher, my role is to not only impart knowledge and skills to my students, but also to guide and support their personal and academic development.

Being a teacher is a challenging but rewarding profession. It requires patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to the diverse needs and learning styles of my students. I must constantly strive to improve my teaching methods and stay up to date with the latest educational research and technologies.

One of the most rewarding aspects of being a teacher is seeing the progress and achievements of my students. It is a joy to watch them grow in confidence and abilities as they learn and apply new concepts. It is also rewarding to form meaningful relationships with my students and be a positive influence in their lives.

However, being a teacher also involves a lot of hard work and dedication. I often have to work long hours, including evenings and weekends, to prepare lesson plans, grade assignments, and provide extra support to struggling students. It can also be emotionally draining to deal with the challenges and setbacks that arise in the classroom.

Despite these challenges, I am grateful to have the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of my students. Teaching is more than just a job for me – it is a calling that allows me to contribute to the future of our society by shaping the minds and hearts of the next generation.

I love Prince Magnus Lukas Damora, oh wait I knew that already. First Impressions: Thea: Throwback. Is your head spinning yet? As he said, "if you like Star Trek and the Bible, you may like this book. Tucker, a twelve-year-old boy in the midwest inadvertently discovers a time-travel portal over the roof of his house; adventure ensues. I wouldn't recommend for under the age of about middle school, because of this difficult plot which is why I took a star off my rating and also because of minor usage of language. But even though the storyline had potential, to be quite honest, I kind of struggled to pay attention to what was going on. Hautman has not only made a book that presents wondrous ideas, but also has managed to make them very logical and reasonable.

It all happens very fast but the story builds and ends well. An hour later, a frantic Tucker finds his father walking up the road as though nothing has happened — except his clothes are in tatters save for a pair of strange blue slippers , his face has seemed to have aged years, and he has a young teenager girl in tow. Emily, Tucker's mom, slowly sinks into her private world of ghosts and obsessive-compulsive behaviour polishing silverware over and over again, flipping light switches on and off, etc. As much metaphorical time and space as he covers, Hautman never disappoints in the worldbuilding and characterization. Lost in this foreign land, Magnus sets out to find Samara. I need to read the Spirits and Thieves series. Pete lives in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

In a garden of ancient ruins on the cliffs of Limeros, Prince Magnus comes face-to-face with a witch. Well-developed and complex characters, a fascinating time travel framework including dispatches from the far future , and a heart-stopping conclusion will leave readers looking forward to the next book. In the months that followed, Tucker watched his father grow distant and his once loving mother slide into madness. Normally, minor characters don't play a big part, but towards the end, the minor characters will become important in the next book. .

However, I can't help but think that this book was wasted on me. . Both boys must fight for their lives. And, based on the short time I've known you, I'm in serious doubt that you have any either. The Obsidian Blade is about a curious religious boy, named Tucker whose father is a reverend at the Church that he founded and his mother plays the organ during the services. Interestingly, it is the latter that disturbs young Tucker most profoundly. It was wonderfu This book was absolutely wonderful! About Obsidian Blade MAGNUS from FALLING KINGDOMS and MADDOX from A BOOK OF SPIRITS AND THIEVES are on an epic quest through time in this series-bridging novella from New York Times bestselling author Morgan Rhodes. The author has written it in such a way that we find it very hard to put the book down and stop reading, until we are through all the pages. Although the cast grows significantly, the story most closely follows Tucker and Lia, a neighbor girl of about the same age. While the actual story is light on actual plot, I love this introductory novel to a strange version of our world where diskos manifest and certain key players can jump through time and space. The Feye might also be a reference to the fairy folk who could trap people in their fairy land while time passed more quickly on Earth. Well, that would be a spoiler! The ending is just a total "WTF HAPPENED?! Disbelief: Not only were historical events not sacred World Trade Center but religious stories were pulled into the mix and treated with a heavy hand.

I don't write reviews often. Then a few days ago I was watching "The Day the Earth Stood Still" and ironically discovered that the main character is named Klaatu. Library copy Books that engage both your mind and your heart, make you question the real world, and inspire you to ponder the meaning of life, freedom, destiny and faith are many. I kept waiting to learn about some jaw-dropping revelation Tucker is Kosh is Adrian! Who would have thought that Maddox and Magnus would have such a fantastic friendship? I know that Tucker has a lot of questions, and this is only the first book in the series. The story was short and sweet but it was also filled with action and excitement.

There is alot going on here and while I did enjoy the story overall, it was ALOT to wrap my head around and I just didn't quite get there. I received this book from the publishers via Netgalley. If Tucker thought he had problems back home, he has even worse ones in this unwelcoming world. In this story it is doubly true because characters that travel well into the future, like Tucker and his father, are already dead when they go forward in time. Along with writing, Morgan enjoys photography, travel, reality TV, and is an extremely picky, yet voracious reader of all kinds of books. This makes the story extremely complicated and a little hard to follow at times, due to Tucker and the other characters going to multiple places and finding strange patterns and connections with occurrences that take place millennia apart. Oh no- what--" Me, flipping to the next page and reading: " E-books have one major disadvantage compared to physical books: as you're reading, you don't have a clear idea how close you are to the end.
