Minority Report is a science fiction film directed by Steven Spielberg and released in 2002. It is based on a short story by Philip K. Dick and set in the year 2054, in a world where pre-crime technology has been developed to predict and prevent crimes before they occur. The film follows the story of John Anderton, the chief of the Pre-Crime Unit, as he tries to clear his own name after being accused of a future murder.
One of the main characters in Minority Report is John Anderton, played by Tom Cruise. Anderton is the head of the Pre-Crime Unit and is known for his dedication to the program. However, when he is accused of a future murder, he becomes a fugitive and must go on the run in order to clear his name. Another main character in the film is Agatha, one of the three "precogs" who are able to see into the future and predict crimes. Agatha is played by Samantha Morton and is a complex and enigmatic character who is haunted by her ability to see the future. She is the key to helping Anderton clear his name, as she is able to see that he is not guilty of the crime he is accused of. Agatha is a strong and determined character who is willing to risk her own safety in order to help Anderton.
