Isabella Linton is a fictional character from the novel "Wuthering Heights" by Emily Bront毛. She is the daughter of Edgar Linton and Catherine Linton, and the sister of Cathy Linton. Isabella is described as being very beautiful, with a "pale, delicate" appearance and a "sweet, timid nature."

Despite her beauty and sweetness, Isabella is not a strong or resilient character. She is easily swayed by the opinions and actions of others, and often acts selfishly in her own self-interest. This is demonstrated early in the novel when she agrees to marry the abusive and manipulative Heathcliff in order to escape the bleak and isolated Wuthering Heights, even though she knows that it will cause pain and suffering to those around her.

Throughout the novel, Isabella's passivity and lack of agency contribute to her unhappiness and ultimately lead to her downfall. She is unable to stand up to Heathcliff's abuse and mistreatment, and is eventually forced to leave him and return to her family. Despite her attempts to rebuild her life, she is unable to escape the damage that has been inflicted upon her, and she dies a lonely and unhappy death.

In contrast to other characters in the novel who are able to find redemption and happiness, Isabella's story serves as a cautionary tale about the dangers of allowing others to control and manipulate one's life. Her inability to assert her own independence and agency ultimately leads to her tragic end.

The Lintons' good fortune ignites rage and envy in the neglected voyeurs, and these harsh sentiments are exacerbated by the scene unfolding before them wherein Isabella throws a tantrum. Catherine y Hareton, que hab铆an sido enemigos, se hab铆an hecho amigos y ahora eran novios. Heathcliff scornfully relays his observations of Isabella later, saying that she "lay screaming at the farther end of the room, shrieking as if witches were running red-hot needles into her" as the Linton siblings fought over a puppy. Instead, she displays considerable strength and endurance for his sake. But she's a real little fool.

This decision further reveals how a seemingly fragile character is actually a strong-willed and independent-minded woman, unafraid to take changes and follow her own heart. She was at that time a charming young lady of eighteen; infantile in manners, though it possessed of keen wit, keen feelings, and a keen temper, too, if irritated. Isabella falls in love with the man she hopes Heathcliff is, whereas Catherine sees him as irredeemable and reflective of her own dark characteristics.
