Frankenstein is a novel written by Mary Shelley in 1818. The story follows a young scientist named Victor Frankenstein, who becomes obsessed with the idea of creating life. Against

To this end, he works tirelessly in his laboratory, using the latest scientific techniques to assemble a creature from various body parts. Once he succeeds in bringing the creature to life, however, Victor is horrified by its appearance and abandons it.

The creature, left alone and abandoned, is forced to fend for itself and eventually learns how to speak and read. It becomes curious about its origins and begins to search for Victor, eventually finding him and demanding that he create a mate for it.

Victor agrees, but as he works on the mate, he becomes increasingly conflicted about whether or not to go through with the creation. In the end, he destroys the mate, causing the creature to become enraged and vow revenge on Victor and his loved ones.

As the creature carries out its plan, it causes a series of tragedies, ultimately leading to Victor's death. The creature, realizing the error of its ways, leaves to wander the earth alone, haunted by its actions and the guilt of what it has done.

Overall, Frankenstein is a cautionary tale about the dangers of unchecked scientific ambition and the importance of taking responsibility for one's actions.
