The Beast makes arrangements that the merchant will return with his daughter to live at the palace. When they lose all of their money, they sulk about the house and think that Beauty must be 'a poor, stupid, mean-spirited creature. Melancholy, he watches one more petal fall from the rose. Ignoring the Beast's orders, Lumiere, along with the other servants, welcomes Belle warmly and entertains her with an elaborate dinner and a show "Be Our Guest". He only denies the father Beauty's rose after the father tried to steal one. Roger Rabbit, was approached to direct but declined in favor of continuing work on his long-gestating project Beauty and the Beast set in 19th-century France.
His servants have been turned into furniture and when they try to tend to Maurice, Beast locks Maurice in the dungeon for tresspassing. Her three brothers and two sisters, disgruntled by their circumstances and her cheerfulness, left all the housework in her hands while they tried to win back their home. With help from the Beast's servants, Belle comes to appreciate and love the Beast all while evading a stalking hunter who wants to marry her. The alpha wolf bites into his back, but the Beast throws it off and roars, scaring the wolves away he is injured badly and collapses. Belle then helps the Beast onto Philippe. Beauty agrees to this, but when she is at home with her father, her sisters — jealous of their sister, who has been given the finest clothes by the Beast, while they have married horrible husbands — return home and conspire to use emotional blackmail to make Beauty stay away from the Beast for longer than a week.
