However, the problem is that many of the positive qualities of the female characters seem to be those by which they can rise above their femininity. These reasons have their roots in the source material's narrative structure, and they could have been foreseen from the very beginning. I can safely say that I liked the introduction of e Overall I would give this book 3 stars. Six more books followed, and together they became known as The Chronicles of Narnia. This worked well for the first volume of the series, but for later volumes Lewis thought up plots which required having more human beings in this world. This chronicle is again about a lost prince rightfully restored.

Back in the early 70s, I encountered this wonderful series through the first of the books to be written, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Usually, my preference is to read a series in internal chronological order.
