Alchemist novel review
The Alchemist is a novel by Paulo Coelho that tells the story of Santiago, a shepherd boy who dreams of discovering a treasure in the pyramids of Egypt. Along the way, he meets a series of interesting characters and learns important lessons about life and following one's dreams.
One of the most striking aspects of The Alchemist is its beautiful and poetic writing style. Coelho's prose is full of imagery and symbolism, making it a rich and rewarding reading experience. The novel also has a strong spiritual element, as Santiago embarks on a journey of self-discovery and enlightenment.
Another strength of the novel is its compelling and relatable main character. Santiago is a likable and determined protagonist, and readers will root for him as he faces the challenges and setbacks that come with pursuing his dream. The other characters in the novel, such as the wise alchemist and the mysterious Englishman, are also well-developed and add depth to the story.
One potential criticism of The Alchemist is that it may be too heavy-handed in its themes and moral lessons. Some readers may find the novel's messages about following one's dreams and the power of the universe to be a bit preachy. However, for the most part, these themes are woven seamlessly into the story and do not detract from the overall enjoyment of the novel.
Overall, The Alchemist is a beautifully written and thought-provoking novel that is sure to appeal to readers of all ages. Its strong character development, poetic prose, and powerful themes make it a must-read for anyone seeking a meaningful and inspiring reading experience.

The Alchemist Book Review
It spent so much time at the beginning of the story with great detail about the trio of juveniles then it suddenly leapt at light speed through the rest of the book that I felt the author had run out of time or ideas to continue with a fuller story. He showed that every individual has a personal legend to accomplish, but the self fulfillment of completing it does not come easy. The Alchemist is a very insightful and inspiring book that I am glad to have read. But unfortunately, on the very first day in the new country, a clever thief robs Santiago. A personal legend is a person 's goal to attain a dream also known as a destiny. This is one of the key repeated phrases found in The Alchemist, and as overly inspirational poster—y as it may sound, there might be some truth to it.

My dad had just reread it and could not stop raving about it. This is a magical story of Santiago, an Andalusian shepherd who yearns to travel in search of a worldly treasure as extravagant as any ever found. In ninety days of pilgrimage the author traveled around the globe and took the famous Transiberrian train that took him to Vladivostok. Love is the second obstacle that we face as we are afraid of hurting those around us by leaving them. Good things and bad things come to us in the same way, whether we realize that or not: Treasure is uncovered by the force of flowing water, and it is buried by the same currents. My reluctance to give this more stars is because the author was clearly reaching for literary status but fell short in the execution. Without giving too much away, the story is about a young shepherd named Santiago who has a recurring dream about finding treasure.
The very next day, Santiago resumes his journey with the alchemist towards the treasure pyramids, but both are captured by some refugees on the way. I just wish that there were more of her books in the digital format. The writing style was very smooth and soothing. The first lesson is from Melchizedek, who claims to be the King of Salem. The one thing that I did dislike about the book was that there was not as much action as I would have liked. He was happy with life as he wanted to travel and he was doing so. The main character, Santiago, goes all over Northern Africa in search of his personal legend, or his life goal.

Indeed Paulo Coelho is a firm believer of Internet as a new media and is the first Best-selling author to actively support online free distribution of his work. Almost all of us do not have the courage to confront our own dream. I liked the character of Santiago very much because he was very inspiring in all the things he did. Through Santiago's adventures, he meets two important figures: a King, and an Alchemist.
The story deals with magic and world history starting in ancient times through modern by following the tale of a master magician. The events of the novel sit just on the borderline of miraculous and the ambience is simply just not that of our humdrum teenage world. The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho
Along his hard journey, he meets some people along the way like a gypsy woman and a king in disguise who all direct him towards his quest. He found love with a woman in the desert, a treasure chest buried under an old tree in an old abandoned church where he first was, and a lesson learned about how the world and the people surrounding him have affected him in his life. As he meets people and overcomes obstacles he learns things that he need to learn to achieve his personal legend.
